Salman Khan, known for promoting new breed of actors, has given Nargis Fakhiri a song opportunity in his "Kick" and feels that mindset about "pretty and outstanding dancer" is baseless.

"Nargis has done a song in the film, which is outstandingly great. I really like her, her energy is great, and I think she will be benefited a lot with the song," said Salman. 

"I don't know why there was so much negativity about Nargis earlier. I think she is a very pretty girl, an outstanding dancer and a lovely person to work with. She has got a great sense of humour," he added. 

The directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala, "Kick" is set for July 25 release and the superstar will be seen romancing Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez in the action drama.

It depicts the dare devil nature of Salman's character, his poise and the charm he exudes on screen. The devil looks handsome in black and has made the wait for next week seem even longer! The makers launched the poster by releasing three jigsaw pieces as a build up; increasing fans anticipation for the reveal, 24 hours later.

The previous posters of the film have gained immense popularity across all mediums and have increased curiosity for the film in the audience. With promotions for the movie in full swing, buzz for the movie is at an all time high & fans are impatiently waiting to catch the film in theatres this Friday.

 Ticket prices of Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer 'Kick' are said to go up by 15 to 20 percent

Even as Salman Khan-starrer Kick gears up for release this Friday, audiences will have to brace themselves for a hike in the ticket fare. It is being said that the cost of tickets for the film will go up by 15 to 20 percent. 

Vishal Anand, operations head, Fun Cinemas, says, `For Kick, we are increasing prices by 15-20 percent. This is anyway done for big-ticket films and with Eid around the corner, we are factoring in the festive fervour. Our ticket pricing for Kick will be similar to what we charged for Dhoom 3.''

An exhibitor from South Mumbai says, `The hike is just around 15 per cent; the film will have a wide release. Also, ticket prices for the morning shows may not go up.''

Trade expert Komal Nahata says, `The entire week will see tickets costing up to 15 to 20 percent more. If the film does well, distributors could even hike up prices by another 10 percent on Eid and Baasi Eid.''
In the past, films like Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Chennai Express, Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar, and Aamir Khan's Talaash and Dhoom 3 have seen higher ticket prices.

Much to everyone's discomfort, Salman Khan apparently insisted to the makers of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', that he wants his 'Kick' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez to be a part of their special episode

On Thursday, Salman Khan was supposed to shoot for a special episode for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but he apparently turned up late and also asked the show's makers to call his Kick co-star Jacqueline Fernandez and have her shoot for the same. A crewmember says, `Salman was supposed to come for the shoot in the morning. Our call time was 10 am and we kept waiting all morning. Finally, at 12 noon, we started shooting the first performance. When Salman arrived at 2 pm, we had finished shooting two acts.` 

The actor then asked the production house if his co-star, Jacqueline, was joining them for the shoot. `Jacqueline was not supposed to be a part of the shoot; this is also why the unit had shot the promo only with Salman. However, they couldn't say no to Salman and when he insisted that she should be a part of the episode, they had no option but to call her at the last moment. They requested him to start shooting anyway as it was getting late. Jacqueline came in at 4 pm and joined Salman for the remaining episode,` says the source.

It turns out that both the actress and the production house were not prepared for her inclusion in the show. `The crew made the necessary arrangements for Jacqueline but since it was done at the last minute, the actress initially had some issues with her hair and make up. But the production house sorted it out eventually,` says the source.

Jacqueline and the channel's spokesperson were unavailable for comment.
